Charlotte Partin is a professional artist of many mediums. Her practice primarily focuses on metal smithing, but from figurative drawing and painting to animation, 3D modeling and fashion, her work investigates relationships between self and nature.
My work, above all else, is about cultural psychology. I take from my own identity as a queer person in America to analyze how individuals reflect systems and systems reflect individuals. I’m constantly fascinated by the development of human society and our position in nature. As a result, much of my work combines imagery of the natural world with human construction, reflecting animalistic human nature through carefully constructed precious objects and adornment.
